Green fingered manufacturers at My Day have been busy making garden boxes!
These attractive planters are ideal for patios and balconies and the latest batch have been planted with garden herbs.
Measuring 35cm long x 19cm wide x 19cm depth (13 3/4″ x 7.5″ x 7.5″), they hold about 10 litres of compost and have pre drilled drainage holes in the base. They are fully lined with landscape fabric. The paint is garden fence paint, as they are designed for outside use.
This production run has already sold out, with more due to be made in September. Get in early to reserve your planter. Contact us if you would like to buy one or receive more information!
So close… we didn’t get first spot but came runner up in a very close run contest in the category of ‘New Business of the Year’. We attended a black tie dinner and awards ceremony and thoroughly enjoyed an evening of mingling and networking.
We are so pleased to have the use of the Lyme Regis Power Boat Club building, it has already been enjoyed by a group who made full use of all the lovely things Lyme Regis has to offer. They did some geocaching, collected fossils and browsed the many antique shops in the town. It is such a privilege for this private and unique facility to be available to us – thank you Lyme Regis Power Boat Club!
Do you have any old gardening tools?
We are currently seeking spades, rakes, brushes, any gardening tools, we are setting up some allotment areas at Conquest
During August we started a 100,000 step Challenge, this is a popular and fun activity.
Every day different students wear the step counter and at the end of the day their steps are recorded. We have already smashed our 100,000 target! We will announce at the end of this month our total steps.
Once again My Day entered items into the Taunton Flower Show. These included entering photographs, scones, jam, a sponge cake, handicrafts and a hanging basket.
Contribution from Amy Benham: I put in a hanging basket full of plants and Aladdin things, blue things like a lamp, picture of a genie and photographs. I won 3rd prize and was proud of myself. I want to do something for the flower show again next year but I don’t know what yet.
During the summer we had some basic First Aid training, a big thank you to Roy Crocker who volunteered his time. This was a very popular session.
