We have been so busy over the last few months we have neglected to let you know about some of our new staff. We will update the ‘meet the team’ pages soon but a belated My Day warm welcome to the following recent new Community Support Worker appointments:
Chloe Newman, Michelle Braithwaite, Debbie Bentley, Josh Hancock, Natalie Wills, Freya Avis, Elaine Thorne and Donna Squire. All are highly qualified and bring years of experience to the team.
We have an Assistant to the above roles and we welcome Eloise Arnsdorf who has joined as a result of a work placement she did with us from college.
To keep things (and us) in order we welcome Cath Bradley, our first permanent Admin Support role.
We have a couple more imminent starters but will let you know about them as soon as they have arrived.
As of today we have in excess of 24 fully employed staff the vast majority of which are full time or 4 days per week roles.
We have been loving our new summer activities! We are going to the lovely Wimbleball Lake for weekly boating trips and we have also been going to Huish Woods for outdoor activities in the amazing facility there!
Watch this space for photos to be added soon!
My Day is all about meaningful activities with our students, and so we enjoy it when parents and carers are able to see the amazing things that go on during the day at MyDay. We have a Facebook page, which most of you will know about, and we now have Instagram! We also have a twitter page, although we don’t tend to use that very much due to the restrictions on how many characters can be used in a tweet, and we like to describe the activities that we do in detail.
Undoubtedly, Facebook is our most used social media platform.

My Day are proud to have sponsored a Shetland Pony and a Donkey, named Bella and Elizabeth.
We are so lucky to have access to such amazing animals, and we look forward to looking after them.
In view of the forecasted adverse weather warnings and with the safety of our staff and students always a priority we are cancelling all our transport routes for Thursday and will review Friday’s plans as Thursday progresses. MyDay will of course be open as usual for all those who wish to attend at our Gipsy Lane hub during our usual hours of 8.30am to 4.30pm. Thank you.
We have been busy recruiting over the last few months, we have the following new staff – Stephen, Michelle, Naomi, Chloe and Debbie, plus a couple more on their way soon!
We are going to update and revamp our main ‘Meet The Team’ page very soon. Watch this space!
Well what an end to the year… we have been so busy with parties, bingo, disco’s, bring and share, helping Christmas Sparkle and many other things. We are all exhausted and are looking forward to a nice little break.
We will be back with a bang with many new ideas, activities and good things in the new year so we look forward to seeing everyone in 2018!
Green fingered manufacturers at My Day have been busy making garden boxes!
These attractive planters are ideal for patios and balconies and the latest batch have been planted with garden herbs.
Measuring 35cm long x 19cm wide x 19cm depth (13 3/4″ x 7.5″ x 7.5″), they hold about 10 litres of compost and have pre drilled drainage holes in the base. They are fully lined with landscape fabric. The paint is garden fence paint, as they are designed for outside use.
This production run has already sold out, with more due to be made in September. Get in early to reserve your planter. Contact us if you would like to buy one or receive more information!
